Remedy Name/s: Common Name/s: Latin, Zoological, Botanical and mineralogical name/s:
Petroleum Oil, coal oil, rock oil, crude oil Oleum petra, Petrolium rectificatum

General description and domicile:
Crude oil, which is what this remedy is made of, is extracted from deposits that occur in most parts of the world as underground lakes of crude oil or gas. Crude oil is formed over millions of years in the deep crevasses of the sea from vegetable and animal matter that decay without the presence of oxygen.

Crude oil is refined to form fuel in the form of petrol, diesel and paraffin, lubricants from oil to virtually solid grease without which industry would grind to a halt and is even used medicinally as petroleum jelly for dressings. From it solvents, tar, paints and plastics are made plus hundreds of polymers, glues, explosives and specialized fuels. The list goes on.

The remedy is made from purified crude oil or petroleum.

Remedy preparation:
Distilled and dissolved in alcohol or diluted in sulphuric acid to obtain mother tincture
